Each week, you are responsible for completing the following:
1. Read EVERY night. When you are reading, write post-its to track your thinking. When you are finished reading, fill out your reading log.
2. Two reader's response entries are due every Friday. Please refer to the reader's response examples to help you in completing these in their proper format.
3. A Writer's Notebook entry is to be done every school night (Monday-Thursday). The specific writing prompt will be assigned in class. If you are absent and unable to get the homework, or if you are unsure of what to write, you are still expected to write every night. Do a free write that relates to our unit of study (for example, write on nonfiction if it's the nonfiction unit, not fantasy).
